Boodie and I live in the evening: we’re done with daytime – with mornings and afternoons …
I’m well past my prime; but he’s in the middle of his.
Still, I’m progressing slower than he is … or perhaps I should say that because he lives (according to me) six years for every one of mine, he’s on a much faster roll. And, having just done some quick mental arithmetic, I can predict that as an example of this competitive motion, he will be 66 when I have reached 86.
I don’t intend to write about him all the time, being far too egocentric for that. Consider this your introduction to the main characters, then; and henceforth there will be mostly just the one protagonist.
The main topic ? – the contents of the ageing mind, basically. Nothing clinical; nothing academic. I want to document the trials, tribulations and wild successes of getting old. Er. Getting older. It is not going to be material for a DipEd, let alone a PhD; it will be mainly rambling and waffling – just as if I were talking about it. I very much hope.
In good English, btw.
